If you are a member of An Garda Síochána and have sustained an injury during the course of your duties, you may be entitled to compensation.

If, for example, you were assaulted during the course of your duties, you may be entitled to bring a claim under the Garda Síochána Compensation Acts.

Applications for compensation pursuant to the Gardai Siochana Acts can be brought to An Garda Siochana at Montague Street, Dublin 2.

Time Limits

A claim must be submitted within three months of the incident. The Minister for Justice & Equality does have discretion to extend this time limit.
