Parent of Irish Child – Application for Residence
This application is otherwise known as the Zambrano Application.
A Non-EEA European Economic Area national who is the parent of the Irish Citizen child can make an application for permission to remain in the state on the basis of parentage of an Irish child citizen.
IIf the parent has lawful residence in the state, an application can be made at the local immigration registration office.

Application
The application is made to the Residence Unit 4, Immigration Service Delivery, 13/14 Burgh Quay, Dublin 2. Here is the application form.
Both the parent and child can attend at the local immigration with the relevant documents.
Stamp 4
Stamp 4 permission will be provided to successful applicants. You should register with your local immigration officer to receive the permission stamp.
Documentation
You should have to include with an application colour copy of the Irish Citizen Child’s passport, birth certificate, applicants passport, evidence of the child residing in the state, proof of address, evidence of the parental role in the child’s life etc. To succeed in this application the applicant must satisfy the criteria laid out in the Zambrano judgement. Documentary evidence but also DNA evidence of the link between parent and child may also be required.
