Reactivation Employment Permit

This permit type can be availed of by a foreign national person not from the European Economic Area who was treated badly by an employer, by exploitation or mistreatment and who wishes to obtain a new Employment Permit.

Reactivation Employment Permit

In essence with the Reactivation Employment Permit they can work legally again.

The applicant must have an offer of employment.

It is essential that you have Residency Permission. This work permit is sought in circumstances where the person previously held an Employment Permit in Ireland. A letter regarding Reactivation Employment Permit is necessary to obtain from immigration service delivery.

You must also have a job offer, evidently are unemployed and have obtained temporary permission from immigraton service delivery.

The applicant must obtain a Reactivation Employment permit letter from the Immigration Service Delivery. Here is the application form and the application is made to Residence Division Unit 2, Department of Justice, Immigration Service Delivery, 13/14 Burgh Quay.

If immigration service delivery provide stamp 1 permission, the person will obtain temporary immigration permission to then apply for a reactivation employment permit from the Department of Enterprise at https://epos.enterprise.gov.ie/#/app/welcome

If the work permit is granted, it is issued for a two year time period subject then to a renewal application. If the applicant has five years completed on a work permit, they can apply for stamp 4.

Application Form

Here is the application form for the temporay stamp 1 permission to remain.

Applications are made to Unit 2, Residence Division, Irish Naturalisation and Immigration Service, 13/14 Burgh Quay, Dublin 2.

Immigration history details, expired employment permit details, new employment details, evidence of medical insurance will need ot be provided to INIS.

The work permit application will then need to be completed once the persion has their letter from the Department of Justice regarding temporary permission.

Application Fee

It is €500 for a contract 6 months or less and €1,000 for a contract up to 24 months.

Pay

It is imperative that the person is paid at least the national minimum wage.

Stamp 4

If the permit holder has had the permit for 5 years, it’s possible to obtain stamp 4.
