This programme is designed to assist non-EEA students in Ireland awarded qualification at a level 8 & 9 to move into the workforce for a period of time.
The non-EEA or Swiss national student who wishes to apply for this programme must have conducted their studies in Ireland and awarded a qualification at level 8 or 9.
Graduates who avail of this programme have the benefit of time to seek employment. If you obtain a position, then a General / Critical Skills or other relevant employment permit should be sought.
Stamp 1 G
If the graduate was awarded with a level 8 qualification they can obtain immigration permission vis a vis this programme for a 12 month period.
If you obtain this immigration permission, you will be granted with Stamp 1G. This shows you have completed your studies and now have permission to seek graduate level employment. You must attend with your local immigration registration office to obtain the Stamp 1G, as you will previously have had the stamp 2.
If you are a graduate on a level 9 qualification then your 12 month initial immigration permission period can be extended a further 12 months.
The student should apply for this programme as soon as possible once you have your qualification award, if you desire to seek employment in Ireland.
