It was announced by the Department of Justice on the 8th of September 2023 that all Bolivian nationals will need to have a visa before travelling to Ireland.
If the person wishes to transit through Ireland then a transit visa will be required also. A transit visa does not allow a person to enter the state but only to transit through while you are journeying to your ultimate destination. The person should have the visa for your destination country on your passport prior to applying for a transit visa.
The Department announced by bringing in this visa requirement for Bolivian nationals, Ireland will be aligned with the Schengen area and UK visa requirements.
